The Tuttminx
football cube!
My biggest puzzle as of now. The tuttminx. A 32-sided (truncated icosahedron, and yes you can call it football shaped) face turning puzzle, with 12 pentagonal faces and 20 hexagonal faces. Pentagon face turns freely in 72 degree while the latter can only do "half turns" (120 degrees). The tuttminx had several mass produced versions, all from verypuzzle, like the "classic" tuttminx (which I got), or the speed tuttminx (the one with convex shaped faces).
This puzzle came unstickered, and no real color scheme that I can find. I just randomly choose what color to go on each faces. This does have an unfortunate effect, where I had 2 hexagonal faces with very similar yellow color that are close to each other. At least you can tell them by texture.
This is surprisingly not that hard to solve. I would say that the experience is like solving a megaminx, only with more faces and a lot more F2L. Difficulty wise it's a bit harder than it (for context imo difficulty of megaminx is about the same as the 5x5). It wasn't the hardest to figure out the solution, but solving this can take a while due to the amount the pieces. Usually took around an hour to finish for me.
